Established in 2018, AUIB is one of Baghdad’s leading private universities. The project involved extensive planning, construction, procurement, and maintenance activities, for which EDK was contracted. EDK played a key role in ensuring the university’s infrastructure met modern standards of quality, safety, and functionality.

Scope of Planning and Construction Duties:

• Land Survey and Site Investigation: Conducting detailed assessments of the site to inform design and construction planning.
• Ground Leveling and Preparation: Ensuring the land is properly leveled and prepared for construction activities.
• Filling and Steam Rolling: Stabilizing the ground and improving soil strength for structural support.
• Street Paving: Designing and constructing roads and pathways within the campus.
• Piling (Design and Implementation): Engineering and executing foundation piles to support buildings.
• Cabling, Wiring, and Piping: Installing electrical, telecommunications, and plumbing systems.
• Building Painting and Finishing: Applying interior and exterior finishes to buildings.
• Building Construction: Constructing academic, administrative, and support facilities.
• Water Reticulation Systems: Implementing reliable water supply and distribution networks.
• Procurement Duties: Managing sourcing, purchasing, and supply of materials and equipment essential for the project.

EDK’s comprehensive involvement ensured that the university campus was developed to meet both operational and aesthetic requirements, creating a safe, functional, and modern environment for students and staff.
