Maisan Combined Cycle Power Plant
EDK contributed to the development of the Maisan Combined Cycle Power Plant, a strategic power generation project designed to supply electricity to more than three million homes and businesses across Iraq. The project plays a vital role in strengthening national power capacity and supporting long-term energy reliability.
Scope of EDK’s Contribution:
- Full engineering, procurement, and installation of critical systems
- Implementation of fire protection systems, process piping, storage tanks, water treatment units, and HVAC systems
- Construction works related to the Steam Turbine House (STH)
- Installation of primary water and gas pipelines, including pipe racks
- Execution of civil infrastructure upgrades, covering drainage networks, sewage systems, and stormwater management
Through its involvement, EDK supported the efficient execution of key power plant facilities while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
